Day 1
Fly to Lalibela
In the morning, ET 120: 11:40 AM - 12:40 PM. Fly north to Lalibela and be transferred to your hotel. After lunch, visit the first group of Lalibela Churches which are located north of a small stream named Jordan River. These Churches were carved during the time of King Lalibela (1181 – 1221) and are registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. In the city of Lalibela you will see about Eleven Rock Churches organized into groups of three. 1. Bete Medhanealem 2. Bete Maryam 3. Bete Golgotha Mikael 4. Bete Maskal (House of the Cross) 5. Day 2
Visit Neakuto Leab Church Then Fly Back to Dire Dawa
Early in the morning visit Neakuto Leab church Lying 7 km from Lalibela, just off the airport road, is this simple but attractive church. It’s attributed to King Lalibela’s successor and shelters in a natural cave. Some very old stone receptacles collect the precious holy water that drips from the cave roof. Then fly back to Addis Ababa. continue fly from Addis Ababa - Dire Dawa and drive to Harar. Ethiopian ET - 224 ADD – DIR 3:00 PM – 4:20 PM
From Addis Ababa to Dire Dawa and drive to Harar. (55 km from Harar). Drive for about an hour to Harar enjoying the great scenery of the surrounding mountains.
Then visit the House of Arthur Rimbaud - a famous French poet, who lived in Harar in the late 19th CentD. Expury Alore "Jugal" - Harar’s old walled town by walking with a local tour guide.
If interested, check out one of Ethiopia's breweries - Harar Brewery. In the evening, drive to one of the gates of Harar where you will visit the ‘Hyena Man’ as he is feeding wild hyenas by hand and mouth.

Day 3
Visit Harar Drive to Dire Dawa and Fly to Addis Ababa
Visit a coffee processing small-scale industry. The Coffee from around Harar is one of the best types from Ethiopia. Then, attend a typical traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Explore some of the oldest mosques and shrines of Harar. Finally, drive back to Dire Dawa and visit the colorful spice market and the old Train station which was founded by the French in the 1900s.
Take the Ethiopian Airlines domestic flight Ethiopian 223 DIR – ADD 6:20 PM – 7:20 PM Dire Dawa back to Addis Ababa.
